  Circular on Grading the Position of a Private Secretary - 05TH APRIL 2005
Following Cabinet directive to review the salary grade of the Private Secretary’s position to the Honourable Ministers, the position has been re-graded F.
  Circular on Grading Engineering Positions - 15TH FEBRUARY 2005
Prior to 1988 salary revision holder’s of Degree in Engineering were appointed on grade Pro 3-4/2-4. This grade was later converted into grade 12 – 13 and then grade G in 1998.
  Work Dress Circular (PDF) - 2 DECEMBER 2004
It is notified for general information that an amendment has been made on the circular savingram MPS/ETM/POL of 21 February 2000 item No.6. The amendment will apply to both Minister’s chauffeurs and holders of statutory position chauffeurs.
  Circular on Accident Free Allowance -  05TH OCTOBER 2004
Circular No. 11 of 1985 authorizes payment of an accident free allowance of M480.00 per annum to His Majesty’s Chauffeur and to the Honourable Minister’s Chauffeur. The same circular further authorises payment of M100.00 accident free allowance to ordinary drivers per annum.
  Revision of Car Loan Entitlement on Public Servants - 12 AUGUST 2004
It is notified for general information that the car loan entitlements have been increased by eight percent (8%). This is meant to make cars more affordable to public officers. The table below shows the current and the revised entitlements:

In the past years, clearly these Regulations were totally disregarded, worst still Public Officers continued to claim payment of leave not taken against the spirit of the Public Service Regulations mentioned above.

It is notified for general information that Government has revised the present rates of rentals for Government houses by 10% with effect from 1st April 2004 according to the attached schedule and that there will be an annual increase of 10%.

  Circular on Re-grading Personal Aide - 22 SEPTEMBER 2003
The grading and evaluation exercise that was carried out recently has revealed that the position of Personal Aide was over graded at grade F. The appropriate grade for this position is grade D.

It is hereby notified for general information that the Government has signed an agreement with Lesotho National Insurance Company for the provision of an umbrella comprehensive car insurance cover scheme.
  Decentralization of Leave Confirmation and an End to the Practice of Illegal Leave Carry Overs (PDF) - 16TH MAY, 2001
Addresses are notified for general information and implementation that a decision has been made to decentralize the confirmation of annual leave to respective Ministries with effect from 01st June, 2001. Leave confirmations are to be executed in Ministries where leave records are administered to facilitate proper monitoring. Chief Accounting Officers are therefore charged with the responsibility to ensure more effective control over leave records.
