This Training and Development Policy is intended to provide general guidelines in the management and administration of Training and Development for Public Officers to ensure cost-effectiveness in the development, utilization and retention of human resources in the public sector in accordance with national priorities.
  Policy on Award of Honorarium (PDF)
It is a policy of government to award an honorarium to its employees. The basis for an award is that the employee’s contribution either through a one time, non- recurring, or an extra-ordinary act, ultimately benefits the government. The honorarium may be given as cash lump sum or as non-cash benefit.
  Policy on Allocation and Award of Government Owned Houses (PDF)
It is the policy of the Government to facilitate house ownership for public servants. It is also the policy of Government to provide houses at subsidized rents and to provide an adequate pool of houses in the long term.
  Public Servants Housing Loan Guarantee Scheme (PDF)
The Government of Lesotho presently houses a limited number of Public Servants while the majority reside in privately rented housing. Increasing the housing stock has been constrained by lack of adequate resources. This scheme has been borne out of Government’s desire to promote home ownership for Public Servants.
